Taiwan Int’l Fisheries and Seafood Show Goes Smart in the Post Pandemic Era
The economic benefits will soon emerge on the island in the post pandemic era.
According to FAO, more than 40% fishery products consumed are supplied by aquaculture fisheries. The aquaculture fisheries are industries that mostly rely on climate harvests. As a result, major aquaculture countries in the world, such as Japan, the USA, Norway and China, are developing the necessary technologies for the production and marketing of aquaculture fisheries through smart systems. At the moment, Internet of Things is the mainstream of smart farming fishery, which can control and monitor water quality, oxygenation, baiting and breedings.
Taiwan’s aquaculture fisheries are also improving aquaculture through new technologies such as smart sensing and smart control. This year major exhibits are a number of innovative and intelligent breeding technologies and products: Fu-Chen’s “iFISH-VSC-water wheel energy-saving control system”, and Daily World’s “hypochlorous acid water generation system (HACWGS)”.
A series of online and offline digital services have been launched, including a “2D Online 1-on-1 Procurement Meetings” for international buyers who cannot visit Taiwan.
Taiwan Int’l Fisheries and Seafood Show (TIFSS), Taiwan’s only B2B fishery exhibition, was originally scheduled from September 3rd to 5th, 2020. But last month, putting health of all participants on the first priority, the organizers have postponed the event until December 3rd to 5th , 2020 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1 (TaiNEX1).
